Job summary

Motion LLC is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead end-to-end sourcing of specialized hardware, from gateways to sensors. You will build and manage vendor relationships, review BOMs, and navigate ERP platforms to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency.

You will collaborate with engineering, project management, and logistics to optimize procurement workflows, track orders, and implement contingency sourcing strategies for a fast-growing hardware business.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical procurement or supply chain roles in IoT, electronics, or hardware manufacturing.
• Experience managing hardware vendor portfolios and evaluating OEM/distributor performance.
• Hands-on BOM review and component specs verification with engineers.

Responsibilities

• Vendor management for external vendors, OEMs, distributors, and logistics partners; conduct periodic reviews and monitor performance metrics.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, MSAs, lead times, MOQs, and warranty/SLA terms to optimize cost and service.
• Source and onboard hardware suppliers, establishing contingency and secondary sourcing strategies.
• Oversee full-cycle purchasing for gateways, hubs, sensors, power units, and related hardware.
• Collaborate with engineering to review BOMs and identify approved product alternatives during shortages.
• Track orders end-to-end from PO to delivery and resolve shipping delays or customs holds.
