Job summary

Motion LLC in Columbus, OH is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead end-to-end sourcing of IoT hardware, manage distributor and manufacturer relationships, and optimize purchasing workflows.

You will work across procurement, engineering, project management, and logistics, review BOMs, negotiate terms, and ensure on-time delivery. The role requires ERP proficiency, data-driven decisions, and strong vendor management to mitigate risk and support growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical procurement / supply chain.
• Experience with hardware procurement in IoT/electronics.
• Experience with ERP systems and data analysis.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead vendor management and performance reviews with OEMs and distributors.
• Negotiate MSAs, pricing, MOQs, lead times, and warranty terms.
• Source and onboard new hardware suppliers to diversify risk.
• Oversee end-to-end hardware procurement for IoT components.
• Review BOMs and specs with engineers; identify alternatives.
• Manage purchase requisitions, part numbers, and vendor records in ERP.
• Track orders through customs and warehouse receipt.
• Control inventory, safety stock, and RMAs.
