Job summary

Unusual Machines, a U.S.-based drone hardware company, is seeking a Director of Supply Chain to build and lead global sourcing, procurement, material planning, warehouse operations, logistics, and supplier performance. You will ensure components meet demand, cost targets, and schedules for rapid growth.

You will develop category strategies for electronics, PCBAs, semiconductors, motors, and optics, while partnering with engineering to embed compliance.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years in progressive supply chain roles with leadership of sourcing, purchasing, planning or logistics.
• Experience building global supplier networks and negotiating complex agreements.
• Familiarity with compliance standards like Blue UAS, FCC and NDAA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Procurement and Planning: manage and develop buyers and material planners with clear priorities and performance expectations.
• Build Global Sourcing Strategies: develop category and supplier strategies for electronics and drone hardware.
• Negotiate Commercial Agreements: lead negotiations on price, terms, lead times, and supply commitments.
• Build a Resilient Supply Base: qualify and diversify suppliers; establish dual-source and contingency plans.
• Lead Material and Supply Planning: translate demand into purchasing and capacity plans via SIOP and MRP.
• Drive Supplier Performance: establish scorecards and reviews for quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness.
