Job summary

nEye.ai, a fast-growing hardware startup in Santa Clara, is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to partner with Engineering and Operations. You will manage requests, evaluate suppliers, issue POs, and track deliveries in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 3–7+ years in purchasing in hardware manufacturing or semiconductors, strong negotiation skills, ERP/MRP experience (NetSuite/SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics), and meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of purchasing experience in hardware industries.
• Experience managing purchase orders from request through delivery.
• Negotiation and supplier management experience.
• Strong organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering and Operations to understand purchasing needs.
• Review requests for completeness and urgency.
• Request and evaluate supplier quotations for pricing, lead time and terms.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, delivery schedules, and purchasing terms with suppliers.
• Manage purchase orders accurately and track deliveries.
• Communicate order status, delivery risks, shortages, and changes to internal stakeholders.
