Job summary

PeopleConnect Staffing represents a client in the San Jose area seeking a Manufacturing / Production Engineer to strengthen production processes, manage build readiness, and coordinate inventory planning. The role emphasizes hands-on execution, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to schedules for reliable installations.

The position requires a Bachelor's in engineering or related field, strong BOM/inventory skills, and experience in hardware manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs and technical docs.
• Understand how BOMs, inventory, purchasing, and schedules connect in manufacturing.
• Experience creating work instructions, checklists, and production docs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, improve, and maintain production processes for assembly, testing, shipment, and readiness.
• Translate designs into repeatable workflows and written procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering to resolve issues and improve DFM/DFS.
• Support production planning, labor, tooling, and material flow.
• Review BOMs and configuration details for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure production builds meet engineering design and customer requirements.
• Identify opportunities to reduce errors and improve efficiency.
• Support inspections and test-readiness processes.
• Contribute to root-cause analysis for production/quality issues.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure readiness.
