Job summary

PeopleConnect Staffing is seeking a Production Engineer - Materials and Manufacturing for a growing hardware company focused on modular energy systems. The role is onsite and involves optimizing production, coordinating inventory, and ensuring on-schedule builds and installations.

The engineer will translate designs into repeatable workflows, create work instructions, and drive continuous improvement with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in production, manufacturing, assembly, process engineering, manufacturing operations, materials planning, inventory control, supply chain coordination, or related hardware environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, bills of materials, assembly instructions, and technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to production quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain production processes for assembly, testing, shipment, and installation readiness.
• Translate engineering designs into repeatable production workflows.
• Create and maintain work instructions, assembly procedures, checklists, quality-control documents, and production travelers.
• Collaborate with engineering and technicians to resolve assembly, wiring, mechanical, and process issues.
• Support production planning by defining labor requirements, tooling needs, workstation setup, material flow, and sequencing.
• Review BOMs, drawings, and production documentation for accuracy.
