Job summary

Astreya is seeking an operational specialist to support the Google Meet Hardware (Rooms) team in New York City, owning end-to-end hardware inventory lifecycle tracking, lab setup, and procurement/budget support for hardware orders and vendor contracts.

The role requires working with ERP/inventory systems (SAP Prod, Agile/gPLM), performing bi-weekly audits, keeping lab readiness, checking in/out devices, and ensuring powered, enrolled, and networked Meet Hardware for engineers and QA.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in hardware lab management, IT asset mgmt, logistics coordination, or IT operations.
• Comfort unboxing, assembling, mounting, and cabling conference room hardware and peripherals.
• Experience with enterprise ERP/inventory systems (SAP, Agile/gPLM).
• Familiarity with enterprise purchasing systems (Ariba, Buying Hub, Navigo, Coupa).
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive).
• High attention to detail with physical inventory, serials, and barcodes.
• Excellent communication to interface with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Asset Ingestion & Tracking: log incoming hardware into inventory tools and assign project codes.
• Inventory Trackers: maintain NYC hardware tracker, GPN Index, and Rooms QA inventory in real time.
• Audits & Reconciliation: bi-weekly counts and reconcile with system records.
• Disposal & E-Cycling: coordinate quarterly purges and secure disposal workflows.
• Check-in / Check-out: manage returns and reassignments for cross-functional teams.
• Unboxing & Mechanical Assembly: assemble Meet Hardware kits and accessories.
• Room & Bench Setup: deploy lab configurations across NYC facility.
• Device Provisioning & Network: enroll devices and connect to CE/test networks.
• Day-to-Day Lab Readiness: keep NYC lab always ready for use by engineers and QA.
