Job summary

Astreya is seeking a Hardware Support Technician II to manage procurement, inventory, asset control, and logistics for pre-market consumer electronics on a global scale. The role supports imaging, firmware updates, and device troubleshooting while traveling for events as needed.

You will work with cutting-edge tech, ensuring proper hardware IDs, builds, and image accuracy, with a focus on fast-paced execution and teamwork in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 2–5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combo.
• IT savvy and interested in new technologies.
• Knowledgeable about inventory and comfortable in an IT inventory environment.
• Able to follow technical instructions to flash drives, image devices and rewrite hardware IDs.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Able to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn new things and adapt quickly.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to map steps to objectives.

Responsibilities

• Participates in inventory and asset management including receipt and disposition of hardware.
• Documents defects of pre-mass production hardware and/or software.
• Performs hardware reworks (e.g., swapping boards/chips, removing write-protect screws).
• Performs software reworks (e.g., imaging devices to different builds; wipe data; rewrite hardware IDs).
• Conducts servo flashing and firmware upgrades, including unsigned images.
• Resolves support tickets on device issues.
• Provides technical support during events (travel often required).
• Other duties as required.
