Atoms in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Program Manager to own hardware issue management across lab testing, production floor, and field operations. You’ll oversee intake, triage, and verified closure, manage hardware tracking in Linear, and ensure records stay current as work progresses.

This hands-on role partners with technicians, test operators, field engineers, and the hardware team. You’ll drive process definitions, escalation paths, and SLAs, publish status updates, and leverage

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical field required, with 2+ years in program management or a comparable role.
• Ownership of issue or defect management end-to-end in hardware/physical products.
• Experience administering an issue tracker with workflow design, taxonomy/labels, permissions, templates, and reporting views (Linear/Jira).
• Data fluency to report tracker/fleet data in SQL and via GraphQL or scripting against an API.

Responsibilities

• Own hardware issue intake across garage, lab, test benches, vehicles in service, and supplier findings.
• Manage hardware issue tracking in Linear: teams/projects, workflow states, labels, templates, routing, sub-issues, and saved views.
• Run daily triage: set severity/priority, identify trends, assign owner, next action, and due date.
• Drive issues to verified closure with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and field teams; define closure evidence.
• Maintain the operating process behind the tracker: severity/priority definitions, escalation paths, and SLAs.
• Publish hardware issue status on a fixed cadence: open volume, aging, closure rate, top issues by severity/frequency, and blocked items.
• Use Linear GraphQL API and integrations to reduce manual data entry and enable status sync and reporting.
