Job summary

Garland Information Technology is seeking an IT Hardware Technician to provide hands-on support for Windows desktops, laptops, iOS devices, and related equipment. You will configure, deploy, and replace devices and maintain asset records to ensure equipment availability across City departments.

Responsibilities include OS installs and updates, device enrollment via endpoint tools, inventory audits, secure decommissioning, and clear communication with users.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 years related experience.
• Knowledge of Windows desktops and laptops, iOS devices, peripherals.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, deploy, and replace devices and accessories.
• Install operating systems, applications, updates, and verify functionality.
• Enroll and manage devices using endpoint management tools.
• Document work in the ticketing system, communicate progress, and escalate issues.
• Maintain asset and inventory records and perform regular audits.
• Coordinate decommissioning and disposal of equipment.
