Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Maryland seeks a hands-on technical leader to guide a hardware design, FPGA/PL, and firmware team building high-assurance security devices for government customers within AWS.

You will set the technical vision, own the full hardware development lifecycle, and drive architecture decisions across FPGA platforms, board design, and security boundaries while ensuring production-quality, certified hardware that meets stringent government standards.

Qualifications

• Lead hardware design teams across FPGA, firmware and hardware engineering.
• Experience with government-grade security requirements and certification.
• Strong problem solving in signal integrity, power integrity and timing.

Responsibilities

• Set technical vision and multi‑generational roadmap for hardware/FPGA development.
• Own hardware platform development from architecture to qualification.
• Mentor engineers and drive design reviews across disciplines.
• Collaborate with systems, software, program management and stakeholders.
