Amazon.com Services LLC in Austin, Texas is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer for the Hardware Supply Chain Security team. You will build security-focused software, protect AWS hardware, and contribute to the global infrastructure at scale.

The role blends software development leadership with security engineering, requiring strong coding skills and security domain knowledge, plus mentoring and autonomous decision making.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling)
• 1+ years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: Java, C++, or Perl
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain tools for firmware analysis, security testing, and vulnerability assessment
• Design and develop security applications to protect AWS hardware and firmware
• Architect scalable, automated tools for security assessment and compliance
• Collaborate with and mentor team members while making autonomous technical decisions
