Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the hardware team powering our supply chain and corporate environments.

You will own the engineering strategy, lifecycle, and security for Zebra mobile computing and printing hardware across distribution and fulfillment centers, plus conference room hardware for corporate offices. You will lead a team of engineers, drive the technical roadmap, enforce standards, and partner with operations and facilities to meet delivery needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years engineering hardware/IT infra experience with people leadership.
• Hands-on Zebra handheld/vehicle-mounted devices in warehouse settings.
• Experience with industrial/label printing hardware and print systems.
• Familiarity with conference room AV deployments in corporate settings.
• Knowledge of SHA-2 PKI for device authentication and secure enrollment.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and communicate with engineers and stakeholders.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence to manage work and docs.
• Strong analytical skills to track fleet health and reliability metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of engineers for supply chain hardware standards and support.
• Own the technical roadmap for Zebra handheld/vehicle computers in operations.
• Set standards and lifecycle for Zebra printing hardware deployed in facilities.
• Ensure hardware standards account for warehouse conditions and throughput.
• Oversee AV and collaboration hardware deployment in corporate offices.
• Guide device security and certificate management across hardware fleets.
• Partner with operations and facilities teams to align hardware needs.
• Define and track KPIs for fleet health and MTTR across hardware categories.
• Manage vendor relationships and roadmap alignment with OEMs.
• Plan and document Jira/Confluence workstreams; participate in budgeting/OCMO analysis.
