Job summary

Nordstrom Inc is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the team responsible for hardware powering our supply chain and corporate environments. You will own the engineering strategy, lifecycle management, and security standards for Zebra devices deployed across our distribution centers, fulfillment centers, and offices.

The role requires hands-on hardware expertise and strong people leadership, with collaboration across operations, facilities, and IT to align hardware with business needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in engineering with hardware or IT infrastructure
• 2+ years in people management or team lead role
• Hands-on knowledge of Zebra handheld/vehicle-mounted devices
• Experience with industrial/label printing hardware in high-volume environments
• Familiarity with conference room AV deployment in a corporate setting
• Knowledge of digital certificate management (SHA-2/PKI) for device authentication

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of engineers responsible for supply chain hardware standards and support
• Own the technical roadmap for Zebra devices used in supply chain operations
• Set standards and lifecycle management for printing hardware in distribution centers
• Ensure hardware standards account for warehouse operating conditions
• Oversee conference room/collaboration hardware for corporate offices
• Manage device security, certificate management, and secure enrollment
• Partner with operations and facilities to align hardware with needs
• Define and track KPIs for fleet health, incidents, and MTTR
• Manage vendor relationships with Zebra and other OEMs
• Drive planning and execution for Jira/Confluence workstreams
• Participate in budgeting and TCO analyses for hardware programs
