Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manager Hardware Engineering 3 (Discipline Execution lead for Hardware Engineering) to oversee sector discipline execution across Linthicum, MD, Rolling Meadows, IL, or San Diego, CA. The role requires up to 25% travel and a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 9+ years of experience, or Master’s with 7+ years, or PhD with 4+ years.
Experience leading hardware development across the product lifecycle.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to hire and staff engineering teams; manage cross-functional partnerships.
Demonstrated ability to drive performance improvements and cost/schedule outcomes.

Responsibilities

Lead hardware engineering discipline execution across sector sites.
Define and deploy common tools, standards, and processes for hardware engineering.
Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, program management and other functions to improve competitiveness.
Manage audits, independent reviews, and corrective actions; drive continuous improvement.
Travel up to 25% to support distributed teams and program milestones.
