Job summary

VDart Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA, is seeking a Hardware Support Technician (onsite) to build, image, configure, and provision Mac and Windows devices for end users. The role includes hardware asset management, laptop deployment, and basic asset processes to support daily operations.

The technician will handle inventory, device deployment and recovery, and ensure devices are ready for new hires and transitions, following build procedures and quality checks.

Qualifications

• Windows and macOS, PC hardware, and peripherals knowledge.
• Imaging, provisioning, and software installation experience.
• Hardware troubleshooting and IT asset management skills.
• Ability to manage device inventory and coordinate deployment/recovery.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, image, configure, and provision Windows PCs and Apple Mac devices.
• Install operating systems, apps, drivers, and updates; validate deployment.
• Prepare devices for hires, replacements, refreshes, and rehires.
• Troubleshoot imaging/provisioning issues; escalate when needed.
• Support hardware replacement, deployment, and asset management activities.
• Coordinate delivery of laptops/accessories to users and collect returns.
