Job summary

Pratum Companies is seeking a Compliance Account Manager based at our Gaithersburg HQ with hybrid flexibility. This role oversees HAP posting, reconciliation and resident ledger corrections for HUD-subsidized properties across eight states.

You will act as the bridge between Compliance, Property Accounting and field teams, ensuring accuracy of subsidy receivables, vouchers and ledgers, and you will lead month-end close activities and audits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in affordable housing accounting, subsidy posting or compliance within a multi-state portfolio.
• Experience reconciling subsidy receivables to vouchers, bank deposits and the general ledger.
• Ability to manage high-volume monthly deadlines for a large portfolio with multiple Contract Administrators and PHAs.
• Knowledge of HAP vouchers, TRACS, HUD Handbook 4350.3 and subsidy calculations.
• Experience with property management software such as Yardi, RealPage OneSite.

Responsibilities

• Post all monthly HAP payments to the correct property and resident ledgers.
• Post retroactive and adjustment amounts from move-ins, moves, recertifications and rent changes.
• Track and post special claims payments and debt service claims.
• Perform monthly HAP reconciliations for all HUD-subsidized properties.
• Reconcile HAP deposits to bank statements and the general ledger.
• Review vouchers for accuracy and flag errors to Compliance Specialists.
• Produce monthly HAP receivable and variance reports and a portfolio dashboard.
• Coordinate with Contract Administrators and PHAs on missing or delayed payments.
