Job summary

Devonshire by Erickson Senior Living is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic on our Palm Beach Gardens campus. You will maintain residential apartments and public areas, responding to work orders and performing routine and emergency repairs to electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.

The schedule includes Wednesday–Friday 9:00 AM–5:30 PM and Sat–Sun 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with Mon/Tue off. We offer competitive pay ($20.00–$22.00/hr), comprehensive medical/dental/vision, PTO with volunteer hours, a 401(k) plan

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a residential apartment complex, commercial building setting, or construction-related industry.
• Must possess a working knowledge of residential building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, flooring and appliances.
• Must have working knowledge of HVAC.
• Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to resident maintenance work orders.
• Support General Services team in resolving issues and improving resident experience.
• Perform routine and emergency repairs in apartments and public areas, including electrical, plumbing and lighting fixtures.

Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic, where you\'ll be responsible for the upkeep of residential apartments and public areas on our beautiful campus. Your work will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents, ensuring they have a comfortable and safe place to call home.

Working: Wednesday thru Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Saturday and Sunday, 8AM to 4:30 PM

Days Off: Monday & Tuesday.

How you will make an impact

• Provide prompt responses to resident\'s maintenance work orders
• Contribute to the General Services\' team visibility and reputation for problem solving and enhancing the resident living experience
• Perform routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and community public areas, including electrical malfunctions, repair/replace plumbing and lighting fixtures, and other maintenance needs that arise
• Perform necessary maintenance of HVAC equipment, including scheduled preventive maintenance and responding to emergency calls
