Job summary

Erickson Senior Living's Devonshire community in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to maintain residential apartments and public areas on campus. The role offers steady shifts and opportunities to contribute to resident comfort and safety.

You will respond to maintenance work orders, perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing repairs, and preventive maintenance, with at least two years of experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a residential apartment complex, commercial building setting, or construction-related industry.
• Working knowledge of residential building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, flooring and appliances.
• Must have working knowledge of HVAC.
• Able to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must effectively communicate with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt responses to resident's maintenance work orders.
• Contribute to the General Services' team visibility and reputation for problem solving and enhancing the resident living experience.
• Perform routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and community public areas (electrical, plumbing, lighting, etc.).
• Perform necessary maintenance of HVAC equipment, including preventive maintenance and emergency calls.

Location: Devonshire by Erickson Senior Living

Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic, where you'll be responsible for the upkeep of residential apartments and public areas on our beautiful campus. Your work will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents, ensuring they have a comfortable and safe place to call home.

Maintenance Technician I

Working: Wednesday thru Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM; Saturday and Sunday, 8AM to 4:30 PM. Days Off: Monday & Tuesday.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Provide prompt responses to resident's maintenance work orders

• Perform necessary maintenance of HVAC equipment, including scheduled preventive maintenance and responding to emergency calls

What You Will Need

• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a residential apartment complex, commercial building setting, or construction-related industry
• Must possess a working knowledge of residential building maintenance to include, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, flooring and appliances
• Must have working knowledge of HVAC
• Experience in Home Health environment preferred
• Must be able to effectively communicate with residents and staff
• Be able to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
