Job summary

Olsson's Traffic & Technology team offers an engineering student internship to perform hands-on, real-world traffic design work. You will create CAD plans for signals, roundabouts, pavement markings, signing, and temporary traffic control, while gaining exposure to traffic operations and field observations.

As a student intern, you will collaborate with a team, communicate effectively, and contribute to projects that improve communities.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and teamwork are essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is expected.
• Pursuing a degree in civil engineering and working knowledge of AutoCAD are required.
• Problem solving and attention to detail are critical for success.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD software to create plans for traffic management projects.
• Assist with traffic design work including signals, roundabouts, pavement markings, signing, and temporary traffic control.
• Support traffic operations, signal timings, safety studies, and pedestrian circulation analyses.
• Possibly travel to job sites for field observation.
