Job summary

RS&H is seeking a Traffic Engineering Intern in Jacksonville, FL. You will work under mentors on ITS, signal, lighting, signing and pavement marking design across diverse projects.

You'll perform routine calculations, prepare plan documents, collect data, and support engineering teams using CAD software. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential as you gain hands-on experience in transportation engineering.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering program at an ABET-accredited university.
• Interest and/or prior experience in transportation/traffic engineering.
• Ability to work independently with general supervision as well as within a collaborative team environment.
• Willingness to work with different teams to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine calculations requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles.
• Prepare and revise plan documents details.
• Collect and prepare data for evaluation.
• Perform engineering with the use of computer-assisted engineering software and equipment.
• Provide support to engineering and project management associates.
