Job summary

Olsson's Traffic & Technology team offers an engineering student intern role focused on traffic design and ITS projects in the Overland Park area. You will create plans with CAD, assist with signal timing studies, and support pavement marking initiatives while gaining real-world experience.

You will collaborate with a team, communicate effectively, and contribute to community-focused design work. Travel to sites may be required, and flexible learning paths are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in civil engineering.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and attention to detail.
• Problem solving and decision making skills.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD software to create plans and perform traffic design work related to signals, roundabouts, pavement marking, signing, and temporary traffic control.
• Involve with traffic operations and signal timings, safety, or pedestrian circulation studies.
• Travel to job sites for field observation as projects require.
