Job summary

HydroJug seeks a senior software engineer to anchor internal systems architecture across accounting, warehouse, product lifecycle, CRM, and integrations. You will own the data model and standards for internal applications, and lead by code, review, and mentorship.

The role is hands-on, with no people-management layer, and focuses on converting ad-hoc systems into a scalable platform. On-site in Ogden, UT, reporting to the VP of Systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience in senior roles
• Full-stack experience with internal web apps, APIs, and data pipelines
• Proficiency in a back-end language (Python, Node.js, Go, or equivalent) and a modern front-end framework (React, Vue, or equivalent)
• Experience designing data models for operational domains (inventory, orders, forecasts, or financial records)
• Experience building internal business systems and integrations, including ERP or system of record
• Track record of setting technical standards and mentoring other engineers
• Ability to translate business processes to working software for non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and shared data model for internal applications
• Define and enforce engineering standards (code review, testing, deployment, documentation)
• Build end-to-end across internal apps, APIs, data pipelines, and integrations
• Design and maintain integration layer with NetSuite, storefront, EDI partners, BigQuery, and third-party stack
• Consolidate platforms by replacing overlapping tooling with durable services
• Mentor engineers and raise team capability
• Ensure performance, data integrity, and uptime of critical systems
• Collaborate with VP of Systems and business stakeholders to scope and size work
