Job summary

SpectrumCareers in Seattle seeks a hands-on Senior Accountant to own day-to-day accounting for leasing and equipment financing, handling journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly analysis while partnering with business and finance stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with lease accounting exposure, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite; CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 5+ years' progressive accounting experience with lease accounting exposure.
• Working knowledge of ASC 842 lease accounting standards.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
• CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for lease and financing transactions, including new lease bookings, amortization, interest expense, and payments.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of lease/financing sub-ledgers to the general ledger per ASC 842/IFRS 16.
• Analyze leasing/financing activity and its impact on cash flow and balance sheet.
• Prepare variance analysis and management commentary.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to gather information and support month-end close.
• Assist internal/external audits related to lease/financing accounting.
• Identify process improvements to streamline reconciliation and close.
• Support ad hoc projects and analysis as needed.
