Job summary

HF Sinclair seeks a Lease Accountant to lead complex lease accounting within the Accounting department. You will manage a lease portfolio, prepare journal entries, and support month-end close with minimal supervision.

The role requires at least five years of related experience, a Bachelor's in accounting/finance, and strong skills in MS Office. CPA is preferred; SAP FI/CO experience is a plus. Office-based with potential for flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of job-related accounting work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; CPA preferred.
• Must have advanced reading and writing skills and strong communication abilities.
• Experience with SAP FI/CO and lease software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in utilizing consolidated lease software to manage and report on HF Sinclair’s lease contract portfolio.
• Timely executes month-end close for lease accounting by building and recording required journal entries.
• Updates lease portfolio to ensure completeness and accuracy of balances; creates lease schedules.
• Prepares monthly/quarterly lease reporting and ensures ASC 842 compliance.
• Oversees day-to-day lease accounting operations and mentors staff.
