Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a hands-on Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations in Haverhill, MA. You will lead production teams, coach staff, and drive operational improvements on a two-shift environment with a Monday–Friday schedule.

The role emphasizes on-floor leadership, safety, quality, and employee development while partnering with maintenance and operations to optimize efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous production leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on leadership style with credibility across all levels of staff.
• Experience coaching and developing production personnel.
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Experience overseeing multiple shifts or supporting shift-to-shift communication.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support production teams to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Maintain a visible presence on the production floor and actively engage with employees.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members while identifying opportunities for growth and advancement.
• Work closely with employees to understand strengths, performance opportunities, and training needs.
• Monitor production processes and address operational challenges in real time.
• Partner with leadership to improve efficiency, workflow, and overall plant performance.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure equipment is operating efficiently.
• Support staffing, scheduling, and shift coordination across multiple production teams.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and positive work environment.
• Drive accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement initiatives.
