A growing consumer products manufacturer in Boston is seeking a Production Manager to oversee workflow, ensure safety, and meet quality standards. The ideal candidate must possess deep knowledge of production management and excellent organizational skills. A BS/BA in business administration is preferred, along with proficiency in MS Office and ERP software. This is a direct hire role with full benefits.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements.
• Ensure all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free.
• Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel.
• Ensure output meets quality standards including product specifications
• Ensure output meets product quality, safety and industry standards for sanitation
• Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.)
• Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.) needed to achieve goals and targets
• Work with Facilities Manager to coordinate maintenance work, purchasing of equipment, supplies, etc.
• Motivate, support and provide guidance to production staff
• Evaluate machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
• Establish a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations
• Set productivity goals for each manufacturing team
• Develop workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality
