Job summary

Clayton is seeking a Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations in our door production facility. You will drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery while leading a manufacturing team across departments.

This hands-on role collaborates with Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Shipping to meet production goals and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in production management and a proven track record in Lean, ERP/MRP, and high-mix

Qualifications

5+ years of manufacturing or production management experience.
Experience supervising production teams.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, scheduling, and workflow management.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.
Strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

Plan and oversee daily production activities to meet demand and ship dates.
Develop and maintain production schedules based on orders, material availability, labor capacity, and equipment requirements.
Monitor production performance and adjust priorities to meet deadlines.
Identify bottlenecks, downtime, and workflow issues and implement corrective actions.
Establish and maintain efficient manufacturing processes and standardized work procedures.
Ensure proper staffing and labor allocation across production areas.
Track production output, labor efficiency, scrap, rework, and downtime.
Coordinate with Purchasing, Engineering, Safety, QA, Maintenance and Shipping.
