Job summary

Clayton is a leading home builder seeking a Production Operator to assemble, machine, and finish door components in a manufacturing setting in Morristown, TN. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and adherence to quality standards.

You will operate machinery and tools, read blueprints, and collaborate with teammates to meet daily production goals while documenting data and maintaining a clean work area. Prior experience in manufacturing and millwork is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, woodworking, or construction environment preferred.
• Experience with doors, windows, or millwork production is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery, power tools, and assembly equipment to manufacture doors according to production schedules.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications to ensure proper materials, measurements, and finishes.
• Inspect parts and finished products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor equipment adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Handle and move raw materials, door slabs, frames, and hardware using appropriate lifting techniques or equipment.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
• Document production data, quality checks, and material usage as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality.
• Other duties as assigned
