Job summary

Clayton Home Building Group is seeking a hands-on Production Manager to oversee daily door manufacturing operations. You will ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery while leading a team across multiple departments and coordinating with Purchasing, Safety, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Shipping.

Responsibilities include planning production, maintaining schedules, identifying bottlenecks, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet customer demand and ship dates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing or production management experience.
• Proven experience supervising and developing production teams.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and workflow management.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee daily production activities to meet demand and ship dates.
• Develop and maintain production schedules based on sales orders, material availability, labor capacity, and equipment requirements.
• Monitor production and adjust priorities to meet deadlines and reduce downtime.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts using Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Kaizen.
