Job summary

Boom Supersonic is hiring Product Development Engineers to own modules of the Symphony engine end-to-end — from concept and design through first article, assembly, and test integration. You will work directly with our in-house shop and external suppliers to turn designs into real hardware, aiming for simplified interfaces, fewer parts, and faster builds.

You will thrive on hands-on work on the shop floor, collaborating with machinists and CFD/FEA analysts to meet demanding aerospace and energy

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering; hands-on manufacturing exposure is valued.
• Real DFM/DFA intuition; ability to view a part and anticipate how it will be made.
• Hands-on experience turning designs into hardware in high-consequence environments.

Responsibilities

• Own a module of the engine from requirements through test.
• Drive design decisions to minimize part count and shorten the path from drawing to hardware.
• Collaborate with in-house shop and external suppliers to source parts quickly and within budget.
• Integrate hardware onto test stands, validate performance, iterate, and ship the next revision.
