Job summary

Boom Technology, Inc. is seeking a Turbine Aerodynamics Engineer to lead the Symphony turbine system design—from concept to certification—and work with engineers across disciplines to ensure propulsion integration with the Overture program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Self-motivated team player with strong problem-solving skills.
• Design experience in axial turbomachinery using meanline, 2D, and 3D analyses.
• CAD proficiency to support the module integration efforts in the engine.
• Python or similar programming languages.
• Experience with engine cycle analysis tools such as NPSS or PyCycle.
• Willingness to collaborate and contribute to team consensus.

Responsibilities

• Develop the Symphony turbine system (high and low pressure) performance and aerodynamics.
• Design airfoils and flow paths using CFD analysis.
• Develop 1D meanline models and blade design; build performance maps and rig test plans.
• Analyze test data and advise on action paths for engine integration.
• Create and integrate toolchains and workflows linking engine analyses with airframe work.
• Coordinate with leadership and suppliers to ensure designs meet manufacturing metrics.
