Job summary

Leoforce in Illinois near Chicago is seeking a Process Engineer to join our manufacturing facility. This hands-on role supports plant operations, troubleshoots process issues, analyzes performance data, and identifies improvements to quality, efficiency, and reliability.

You will work with production teams, read P&IDs and process diagrams, audit SOPs, and develop actions to enhance plant performance. A BSCE and 1 year of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (BSCE) required.
• 1 year of professional engineering experience in batch/continuous/liquid-process manufacturing.
• Experience with P&IDs and process flow diagrams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of statistics and data-analysis tools.
• Hands-on technical aptitude to work in the plant.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Proactive, self-starting approach with ownership of problems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and report key operational and process parameters.
• Read and interpret P&IDs and process flow diagrams for troubleshooting and improvements.
• Audit manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and SOPs.
• Analyze data to identify trends, deviations, and improvement opportunities.
• Investigate deviations, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Serve as a technical resource to production teams for process and equipment issues.
• Recommend process modifications to improve quality, efficiency, and reliability.
• Collaborate with production and plant leadership to implement improvements.
