Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Process Engineer for its manufacturing facility outside Chicago. This mid-level role focuses on troubleshooting, analyzing performance, and driving improvements in quality, efficiency, and reliability.

You’ll work hands-on with production teams to solve real-world process challenges and support plant operations. You should have a BSCE and at least one year of experience in batch, continuous, or liquid-process environments, plus strong analytical and communication skills to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (BSCE) is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional engineering experience in batch, continuous, or liquid-process manufacturing environments (food & beverage, chemicals, pharma, etc.).
• Experience with P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and process equipment in manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret data and identify root causes.
• Familiarity with statistics or data-analysis tools.
• Hands-on technical aptitude and ability to operate near the plant floor.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proactive, self-starting approach with ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and report key operational and process parameters.
• Interpret P&IDs and process flow diagrams to support troubleshooting and improvements.
• Audit processes, equipment operation, and SOP compliance.
• Analyze data to identify trends and deviations.
• Investigate deviations, determine root causes, and propose corrective actions.
• Serve as a technical resource for production teams in process and equipment troubleshooting.
• Recommend process modifications to improve quality, efficiency, and reliability.
• Collaborate with production and plant leadership to implement improvements.
• Develop cross-process understanding across the facility.
