Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrates reliable, accurate communication and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Acquire general knowledge of hospital policies and nursing interactions.
• Function as a member of the nursing team and report to team leaders.
• Assist with patient care from triage through disposition.
• Take vital signs manually or by machine and report abnormalities.
• Draw blood, collect urine, stool, sputum samples as directed.
• Restock equipment and supplies as directed.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and stretchers.
• Assist physicians with procedures as directed.
• Perform EKG testing and glucometer checks.
• Adhere to isolation techniques as required.
• Register patients after hours for the ED.
• Participate in CQI activities and infection control as necessary.
