Job summary

Mavis Tire in White Plains, NY is seeking a Network Operations Technician to support day-to-day health, deployment, and troubleshooting of our store network infrastructure. You will work closely with the Store Network Operations Lead to stage, deploy, monitor, document, and support multi-site networks in a large retail environment.

This hands-on role is designed for someone with solid IT fundamentals who wants to grow into higher-level Network Operations and Engineering responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in IT support, help desk, or network support.
• Basic TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi-Fi concepts.
• Structured troubleshooting using ping, traceroute, dashboards.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow standards.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn firewall, switching, wireless tech.

Responsibilities

• Stage, configure, deploy, and maintain store network equipment.
• Assist with SonicWall firewalls, switches, APs, and cellular backup.
• Support new-store openings, acquisitions, and multi-site deployment.
• Monitor store network connectivity and respond to alerts.
• Troubleshoot WAN, LAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, and cellular issues.
• Work with stores, ISPs, carriers, field techs to restore service.
• Create, update, and close tickets with clear notes.
• Escalate complex issues to Store Network Operations Lead.
• Maintain network documentation and runbooks.
• Assist with hardware inventory and replacement logistics.
• Participate in after-hours or on-call support.
