Job summary

Atkore International seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join the Hobart, IN facility. You will develop and troubleshoot processes and product lines, lead capital projects, and refine designs for safety, reliability, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing or industrial engineering, with 2–5 years in manufacturing. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, and 2D CAD, plus strong Windows skills, is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing or industrial engineering.
• 2–5 years' experience in manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor and 2D CAD.
• Strong computer skills: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Teamwork, leadership and accountability.
• Project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate concept brainstorming and strategy sessions.
• Lead multi-functional teams to achieve goals.
• Develop and troubleshoot product lines in design, material or process.
• Lead capital projects from scope to commissioning.
• Maintain and modify plant equipment for safety and efficiency.
