Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a hands-on Technical Trainer to develop and grow talent across metal fabrication and modular manufacturing operations. The role delivers classroom and on-floor training, creates OJT/SOJT materials, and partners with subject matter experts to ensure training aligns with current processes, safety, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has broad manufacturing knowledge and strong teaching ability, with experience in welding, fabrication, machining, or related fields.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing training or teaching is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret basic technical documentation.
• Strong communication, coaching, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with computer tools and LMS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom, hands-on, OJT/SOJT, and production-floor training.
• Develop and maintain training materials, assessments, and records.
• Coach employees and assess competency through observations and demonstrations.
• Support onboarding, cross-training, and new process introductions.
• Maintain training documentation and LMS records.
