Job summary

Top Echelon Software LLC is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer for a state-of-the-art architectural wood doors production facility in Wisconsin. You will report to the Automation Engineering Manager and collaborate with Production, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance, and Engineering to solve manufacturing problems and improve day-to-day performance.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering and at least 3 years' experience in assembly

Qualifications

• Associate degree Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering is required.
• 3+ years’ experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in an assembly operation, preferably wood products.
• Self-starter who can work independently and in a team.
• Prior project management experience is highly desirable.
• Prior capital project experience is helpful.
• Excellent communication skills with all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for solving hands-on manufacturing problems to improve day-to-day performance while working with Production, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance, and Engineering.
• Strong process improvement skills to help meet KPIs.
• Develop practical solutions and ensure improvements are implemented and sustained, challenging existing methods and driving teams from problem ID to execution.
• Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor and work with operators, supervisors, and leadership to resolve day-to-day issues.
• Serve as escalation resource for manufacturing problems requiring deeper process analysis and technical problem solving.
• Coordinate efforts to plan, design, develop and validate manufacturing processes and improvements to existing processes.
• Improve processes and eliminate waste in key constraint areas.
• Improve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery in assigned areas.
• Develop and drive metrics with Production Teams.
