Job summary

Markent Personnel, Inc. is recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a state-of-the-art wood door production facility in Wisconsin. The role is hands-on and focuses on process improvement, working closely with Production, Maintenance, and Engineering to boost day-to-day performance.

You will report to the Automation Engineering Manager and contribute to safety, quality, productivity, and delivery improvements across the operation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering required.
• 3+ years’ experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in an assembly operation, preferably wood products.
• Must be a self-starter who can work independently and, on a team.
• Prior capital project experience is helpful.
• Excellent communication skills with all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Solve hands-on manufacturing problems to improve day-to-day performance with Production, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance, and Engineering.
• Develop and implement process improvements to meet KPIs and sustain gains.
• Lead problem identification, drive change, and guide teams from issue to execution and follow-up.
• Maintain strong floor presence and work with operators, supervisors, and leaders to resolve day-to-day issues.
• Serve as escalation resource for deep process analysis and technical problems after initial responses.
• Plan, design, and validate manufacturing processes and improvements to existing processes.
• Improve processes and eliminate waste in key constraint areas.
• Improve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery in assigned areas.
• Develop and drive metrics with Production teams.
