6 Degrees Search is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a hands-on role at a state-of-the-art wood door facility in Menasha, Wisconsin. You will solve manufacturing problems, work with Production, CI, Maintenance and Engineering, and drive improvements on the floor.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering and 3+ years in manufacturing engineering, preferably in assembly or wood products, with strong communication and project-management skills.

Qualificações

• Associate degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering is required.
• 3+ years’ experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in an assembly operation, preferably wood products.
• Must be a self-starter who can work independently and, on a team.
• Prior project management experience is highly desirable.
• Prior capital project experience is also helpful.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of staff.

Responsabilidades

• Be responsible for solving hands-on manufacturing problems to help improve day-to-day performance while working with Production, CI, Maintenance, and Engineering.
• Strong process improvement skills to meet KPIs.
• Develop practical solutions and ensure improvements are implemented and sustained from identification through execution and follow-up.
• Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor and work with operators, supervisors, and leadership to resolve day-to-day process issues.
• Serve as escalation resource for problems requiring deeper process analysis and technical problem solving after initial Production or Maintenance response.
• Coordinate design, development and validation of manufacturing processes and improvements to existing processes.
• Improve processes and eliminate waste in key constraint areas.
• Improve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery in assigned areas.
• Develop and drive metrics with Production Teams.
