Ashton North LLC in Wisconsin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a state-of-the-art architectural wood door production facility. This is a hands-on role reporting to the Automation Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering is required.
• 3+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in an assembly operation.
• Experience with process improvement and capital projects is desirable.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for solving hands-on manufacturing problems to improve day-to-day performance while coordinating with Production, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance, and Engineering.
• Employ strong process improvement skills to meet KPIs.
• Develop practical solutions and ensure improvements are implemented and sustained, driving change from problem identification through execution.
• Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor, working with operators, supervisors and department leadership to resolve issues.
• Serve as escalation resource for problems needing deeper process analysis and technical problem solving after initial response.
• Coordinate efforts to plan, design, develop and validate manufacturing processes and improvements to existing processes.
• Improve processes and eliminate waste in key constraint areas.
• Improve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery in assigned areas.
• Develop and drive metrics in conjunction with Production Teams.
