Job summary

LRSolutions, LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a state-of-the-art production facility that manufactures architectural wood doors in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. The role is hands-on and involves close collaboration with Production, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance and Engineering to drive improvements on the manufacturing floor.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in a custom assembly environment, strong leadership potential, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering.
• 3+ years’ experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in a custom assembly operation.
• Self-starter, able to work independently and on a team.
• Prior project management experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills with all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Solve hands-on manufacturing problems to improve day-to-day operations with Production, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance and Engineering.
• Drive process improvements to meet KPIs and sustain improvements.
• Develop practical solutions and lead change from problem identification through execution and follow-up.
• Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor and collaborate with operators, supervisors and leaders to resolve issues.
• Act as escalation resource for deeper process analysis and technical problem solving.
• Coordinate efforts to plan, design, develop and validate manufacturing processes and improvements to existing processes.
• Improve safety, quality, productivity and delivery in assigned areas.
• Develop and drive metrics in coordination with Production Teams.
