Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a state-of-the-art production facility in Wisconsin that makes architectural wood doors. This hands-on role reports to the Automation Engineering Manager and emphasizes collaboration with Production, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance, and Engineering to improve day-to-day performance.

You will develop practical solutions, implement improvements, and sustain gains on the shop floor while mentoring operators and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Associate degree Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering is required.
• Prior leadership experience is important because this is an independent role with the manager based at another plant.
• 3+ years’ experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in a custom assembly operation.
• Must be a self-starter who can work independently and, on a team.
• Prior project management experience, start to finish, is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for solving hands-on manufacturing problems to help improve day-to-day performance while working with Production, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance, and Engineering.
• Develop practical solutions and ensure improvements are implemented and sustained.
• Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor and work with operators, supervisors, and department leadership to resolve issues.
• Serve as an escalation resource for complex process analysis after initial responses.
• Coordinate efforts to plan, design, develop and validate manufacturing processes and improvements.
• Improve Processes and Eliminate Waste in Key Constraint Areas.
