Task Force Tips LLC in Valparaiso, IN seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to bridge design and production, improving processes and tooling while applying lean methods. You will work with Production, Assembly, Engineering, and vendors to drive manufacturability improvements and cost analyses.

Ideal candidates bring a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 3+ years of experience, and strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3+ years engineering experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing techniques such as machining, molding, and assembly.
• Ability to operate computers, applicable software, and test equipment.
• Ability to read, interpret, and generate detailed prints, sketches, layouts and specifications.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Production and Assembly personnel to solve manufacturing and assembly problems.
• Works with design modifications for manufacture and assembly; prepares cost estimates.
• Analyzes concepts of new product designs for manufacturability, assembly, function and reliability.
• Develops and tests new concepts; improves tooling and processes.
• Applies lean techniques to identify opportunities for efficiency.
• Drafts and proofreads technical product documentation; manages BOMs and item files.
