Actalent in Nicholasville, KY is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production processes on the shop floor. You will design, document, and implement improvements to equipment, layouts, and work instructions, while supporting NPI transfers and validation activities.

You'll lead Lean initiatives, troubleshoot complex issues, and mentor operators. This onsite role requires a hands-on problem solver who collaborates with Operations, Quality, and R&D to deliver safe, cost-efficient,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GD&T and ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Experience creating and maintaining BOMs, routings, and ECOs.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite.

Responsabilités

• Develop, evaluate, implement, improve, and document manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment, and work instructions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
• Analyze production workflows and recommend process improvements.
• Design and optimize equipment layouts, workflow, and workspace utilization.
• Evaluate equipment and processes to produce high-quality products at competitive costs.
• Plan and manage product quality activities during transfer to production.
• Support design validation, process validation, and production readiness.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical manufacturing issues.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives such as 5S, SMED, and Value Stream Mapping.
• Facilitate corrective and preventive actions for quality concerns.
• Develop assembly instructions, process documentation, and SOPs.
• Provide technical guidance and training to operators and inspectors.
