Job summary

Actalent in Burlington, NC, is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Engineer to support continuous improvement on high-volume food production lines. You will analyze production data, drive OEE improvements, and work hands-on on the manufacturing floor with operations, maintenance, quality, and leadership teams.

The role emphasizes problem solving, process optimization, SOP documentation, and participation in lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• Recent engineering graduate or internship in manufacturing engineering.
• Ability to perform OEE analysis and interpret manufacturing metrics.
• Experience with root cause analysis methods such as 5 Why and Fishbone.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production data and OEE to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support throughput improvement, waste reduction, and equipment reliability.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations to improve line efficiency.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions.
• Track KPI performance and report results to stakeholders.
• Participate in lean initiatives and kaizen events.
