Job summary

K&K Technical Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support advanced equipment planning and manufacturing process improvements at a major automotive facility in Georgetown, Kentucky.

The ideal candidate has experience in capital equipment, equipment installation, and production process improvements, with hands-on on the shop floor and ability to collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers, and production personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing or production engineering experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting capital equipment projects, planning, procurement, or installation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Practical knowledge of manufacturing equipment, production processes, and industrial engineering.
• Strong project coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to work onsite and travel up to 20% (domestic and international).

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement new manufacturing equipment for automotive assembly.
• Assist capital equipment projects from planning to installation.
• Evaluate processes to boost efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost.
• Create and review engineering drawings and layouts using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, vendors, and production staff.
• Support equipment installations and production readiness.
• Troubleshoot equipment and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate project schedules and equipment requirements.
• Provide hands-on engineering on the manufacturing floor.
• Support domestic and international engineering activities as needed.
