Job summary

Flex-N-Gate LLC. seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform installation, maintenance and repair of plant machinery and building systems on a 2nd shift (2PM-10:30PM) in Grand Rapids, MI.

You will follow safety rules, read work orders, use hand and power tools, meters and equipment handling gear, and maintain documentation. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, housekeeping, inventory reviews, and supporting projects, with on-call availability and adherence to EMS/QMS policies.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
• Ability to multi-task and set priorities in a fast-paced plant.
• Possess valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
• Knowledge of ISO TS14001 or equivalent environmental systems is a plus.
• Able to communicate clearly, in writing and verbally.
• Work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean work areas.
• Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
• Maintain building housekeeping and general facilities upkeep.
• Review stock inventory of spare parts and materials.
• Inspect areas to ensure safety and good housekeeping.
• Read work orders, interpret manuals, and perform maintenance tasks.
• Use hand and power tools, meters and material handling equipment.
• Coordinate and monitor project activities as needed.
• Update and maintain documentation related to the department.
• On-call availability during off-shift hours and weekends.
