Rome Grinding Solutions is seeking a hands-on Machining Supervisor in Sheldon, IA. The role splits time between active machining and supervisory duties, guiding a team of machinists to maintain safety, efficiency, and quality.

You will work side by side with the team, leading by example while ensuring priorities are met across production schedules. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in machining and 3+ years in leadership, with strong blueprint reading and precision measurement skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years machining experience and at least 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example by actively performing machining operations alongside the team.
• Supervise, train, mentor, and support machinists to promote quality and productivity.
• Provide hands-on technical assistance with machine setups, troubleshooting, and machining challenges.
• Coordinate daily production priorities with Production and Operations teams.
• Monitor department performance and quality standards.
• Communicate tooling, material, and equipment needs to appropriate departments.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and promote a safe work environment.
